Wac Arts proudly present the showcase of work from our Dance & Actor Performing Companies!
Both companies rehearse every Sunday to develop their skills, performance techniques, and company ethos.
The companies will perform a culmination of their work this year: a Dance performance and a production of Touching the Void by David Greig (based on the book of the same name by Joe Simpson).
Dance Company
A culmination of their work this year; the Wac Arts Dance Company are proud to present a 20 minute dance piece that showcases versatility, performance and individuality. It is a celebration of the dancers’ dedication, talent and growth both personally and as a company.
The show was developed, choreographed and movement directed by Kristina Thacker. It is performed by the company, who also had the opportunity to collaborate and have choreographic elements and input themselves.
Actor’s Company
Perched on an unstable snow-cliff and battered by freezing winds, Simon is desperate to rescue his injured climbing partner who hangs from a rope below him. Meanwhile, Joe teeters on the brink of death and despair in a crevasse from which he can’t possibly climb to safety. Touching the Void by David Greig (based on the book of the same name by Joe Simpson) is directed by Katie Coull and performed by the company.
